Did I surprise you?<br />
<br />
Yes, after a long, spontaneous break, I've finally returned. I do apologise for my absence, March was a long and stressful month filled with mock exams and a lack of sleep. All of my time was consumed by revising and sleeping. I have a few more exams at the end of next month but I'm now back in the right mindset to continue blogging.<br />
<br />
Since I last updated, I'll be honest, not much has happened. Although, now that the sunshine is making an appearance and the summer holidays are approaching at full speed, my makeup and wardrobe both need a serious renewal which means hauls, reviews and maybe a look-book or two and some tutorials. I'm also feeling some summery recipes and playlists coming along. The sun really is an excellent motivator!<br />
<br />
This is a really quick post but I'll be back shortly with a better one.<br />
<br />

So, instead, I have a little "what I did today" post with bad-quality pictures from my phone... Because my life is that exciting.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As it's the half term holidays, I've been extremely lazy so I stayed in bed for the majority of the day. When I did decide to drag myself out of my quilt-cocoon, I got ready and took a selfie; why not?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-67IdBFYDlzk/UwO31heD--I/AAAAAAAAAfc/SEpfTkWWQ2Q/s640/blogger-image--1598618164.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-67IdBFYDlzk/UwO31heD--I/AAAAAAAAAfc/SEpfTkWWQ2Q/s320/blogger-image--1598618164.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hi face.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's what I wore today (I do apologise for my filthy mirror; I need to get something to clean it with)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7QNxEVPFhIg/UwO32v0Z5MI/AAAAAAAAAfk/EiiWgjZQSZQ/s640/blogger-image--1333954502.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7QNxEVPFhIg/UwO32v0Z5MI/AAAAAAAAAfk/EiiWgjZQSZQ/s320/blogger-image--1333954502.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I bought this floral dress from H&M last month and I really like it! It's more of a spring-style dress, I suppose, but it wasn't particularly cold today and I wasn't planning on leaving the house. The powder pink ballet flats are from primark and this dress is one of my few items of clothing that go with them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-a0jTKBZuQuI/UwO33vegWwI/AAAAAAAAAfs/ih_9d0YWRF0/s640/blogger-image-530698458.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-a0jTKBZuQuI/UwO33vegWwI/AAAAAAAAAfs/ih_9d0YWRF0/s320/blogger-image-530698458.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I painted my nails using my Barry M "cappuccino". I forgot I had this colour and I've fallen back in love with it, it's so simple and pretty. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-SvudLr566wQ/UwO30cLvzfI/AAAAAAAAAfU/a3369eUluvY/s640/blogger-image-1373615197.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-SvudLr566wQ/UwO30cLvzfI/AAAAAAAAAfU/a3369eUluvY/s320/blogger-image-1373615197.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the rest of the day, I sat on my bed, drank tea whilst glued to this book. My friend Shay lent Divergent to me last week and I couldn't put it down. I'm now onto the second book in the trilogy, Insurgent, and I'm in love with it. I can't wait for the film to come out this year; I hope it doesn't disappoint!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
So, as you can tell, my day was pretty eventful. I'm now planning on buying all of Asda's junk food and stuffing my face. I'll be back soon with a Lemon Slice recipe, when I get my camera back!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ciao For Now</div>

I've only ever done one favourites post before, in <a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/october-favourites.html" target="_blank">October</a>, and I really liked writing it. I've enjoyed using quite a few products over January so I thought I'd do another. I would make this a more regular thing but, sometimes, I have the same favourites for a few months. Anyway, here are my favourites from January:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ryd4kdE50js/UvUor9WF3-I/AAAAAAAAAdw/Na-Wt9I2edk/s1600/Favourites.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ryd4kdE50js/UvUor9WF3-I/AAAAAAAAAdw/Na-Wt9I2edk/s1600/Favourites.jpg" height="263" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There's not a lot of it, I know, but I felt that there was enough for a favourites post to be plausible. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ml0oXvjWJ8M/UvUpTI35GoI/AAAAAAAAAd4/78toiYDl84Q/s1600/Brushes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ml0oXvjWJ8M/UvUpTI35GoI/AAAAAAAAAd4/78toiYDl84Q/s1600/Brushes.jpg" height="320" width="187" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Real Techniques: Duo-Fibre Brushes</div>
<div>
I'd, firstly, like to apologise for the slightly-grubby state of them; I didn't realise until after I'd took all of the pictures. These lovely brushes were featured in <a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/my-everyday-makeup-bag.html" target="_blank">last week's</a> blogpost and I absolutely love them. The face brush glides across my face so smoothly and applies my makeup perfectly. The contour brush is the best I've ever used. I use a bronzing powder with it and it really helps to define my cheekbones. The eye brush is quite big but it's quite good for blending.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dzc33e46xoA/UvUrEfWEQzI/AAAAAAAAAeI/MfsjWwFh-Tk/s1600/Tangle+Teezer.png" height="160" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Tangle Teezer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Sticking with the brush theme, I recently bought this Tangle Teezer. I've been wanting one for ages but kept putting it off and buying other things instead. I finally forced myself to buy one and I'm so glad I did. Not really sure what else to say other than this brush definitely fulfils it's purpose. It really does de-tangle my hair and makes styling it 200 times easier.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5CC30Cc-2W0/UvUs1oaioeI/AAAAAAAAAeY/VrKnt8Ah2bI/s1600/Lipstick.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5CC30Cc-2W0/UvUs1oaioeI/AAAAAAAAAeY/VrKnt8Ah2bI/s1600/Lipstick.jpg" height="320" width="283" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Collection Lipstick: 'Vintage Rose'</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm not going to lie, one of the main reasons I bought this lipstick was because of the name. The colour is just as pretty though. I bought this just before Christmas and have been wearing it non-stop. It's been my go-to lipstick over Winter because it just looks perfect for any occasion: whether it's going shopping or to a party (yes, because I go to<i> </i><b>all</b><i> </i>of the parties...). It was quite cheap so I didn't really expect much from it but I only ever have to reapply it once or twice throughout the day/evening. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nANNnVysUv0/UvUuR6LIPZI/AAAAAAAAAek/jMOiwV3m7vo/s1600/Blush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nANNnVysUv0/UvUuR6LIPZI/AAAAAAAAAek/jMOiwV3m7vo/s1600/Blush.jpg" height="252" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sleek Blush: 'Rose Gold'</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is another product from <a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/my-everyday-makeup-bag.html" target="_blank">last week's blogpost</a> that I've loved using in January. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it in a post in December, too. Since I've gone on about it so much, I won't go into detail. I've been using this blush every day and it's just so pretty. It doesn't look too pretty in the photo because I dropped it a few weeks ago, panicked and tried my best to squish it back into the container.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H4uzLHFoNZ8/UvUvkZGwQtI/AAAAAAAAAew/yDvDlBYdObU/s1600/Nail+Varnishes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H4uzLHFoNZ8/UvUvkZGwQtI/AAAAAAAAAew/yDvDlBYdObU/s1600/Nail+Varnishes.jpg" height="211" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bourjois Nail Varnish</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've always stuck to Barry M nail varnish and have never really ventured into other brands. I've occasionally tried other nail varnishes but have never really liked them as much as Barry M. I got these two Bourjois varnishes for my birthday from <a href="http://www.jessicapeachpuff.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Jess</a> (she has a blog, you should have a look) and I really like them. The consistency is just perfect; it's not too thick that it takes 12 hours to dry but not too thin so I have to apply 7 layers of it. These two colours are beautiful too. I've been wearing the burgundy coloured one more but, when spring comes, I'll be wearing the other every day, most probably. I must say, the 'lasts 7 days' statement is slightly ambitious but they do last quite a while without chipping. I only have these two colours at the moment but I will definitely be buying some more next time I'm in Boots.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_ATbya7FwuI/UvUxHnl1w7I/AAAAAAAAAe8/SQDZp9hhm0E/s1600/Perfume.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_ATbya7FwuI/UvUxHnl1w7I/AAAAAAAAAe8/SQDZp9hhm0E/s1600/Perfume.jpg" height="320" width="229" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next, 'Milan' Perfume</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My mum bought me this for Christmas and I've been using it on a daily basis since then. I'm terrible at describing smells but it smells divine. It's quite strong so I only need one spray each day so it's probably going to last me quite a while. I suppose I need to work on my perfume-reviewing skills, don't I?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yR_vt1cW9c4/UvUx-OkOnLI/AAAAAAAAAfE/JywVBgmX1uI/s1600/Necklace.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yR_vt1cW9c4/UvUx-OkOnLI/AAAAAAAAAfE/JywVBgmX1uI/s1600/Necklace.jpg" height="320" width="188" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Deathly Hallows Necklace</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my only non-beauty favourite but it deserved a mention. If you wasn't aware already (I'm slightly disappointed in you if you weren't), this is a symbol from Harry Potter. One of my best friends bought me this for my birthday and I wear it with practically everything and will continue to. I feel like I'm wasting an opportunity if I don't wear it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's all for my favourites from January. Have a lovely February and I shall be back soon.</div>

I think it's only right, as a girl just starting out in the blogging world, that I give you a run-down of what I keep in my everyday makeup bag, too. Also, since I love having a look at what other people have in their makeup bags, I thought I'd tag some people who I'd like to see do this too. I know this is a thing that popular beauty bloggers do but I'm doing it anyway. I'll put who I'm tagging at the end of this post.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nNpc0vLJCEw/UuqlwX9uQTI/AAAAAAAAAdU/wS2zq7lvqTk/s1600/Makeup+Bag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nNpc0vLJCEw/UuqlwX9uQTI/AAAAAAAAAdU/wS2zq7lvqTk/s1600/Makeup+Bag.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
First of all, this is my makeup bag. Oh, what a surprise, it's a cat. I saw this in Primark a while ago for £3 and I just couldn't not buy it; look how cute it is! It fits all of my products in it perfectly and it's a good size to fit in my bag every day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BvkMM2g4aVA/UuqojQdzydI/AAAAAAAAAdg/r1wR6BOW5I4/s1600/Makeup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BvkMM2g4aVA/UuqojQdzydI/AAAAAAAAAdg/r1wR6BOW5I4/s1600/Makeup.jpg" height="236" width="320" /></a></div>
Here's everything I put in my makeup bag and use, mostly, on a daily basis for school and work. I've tried to split them into a top and bottom row; it didn't work too well but never mind. I'll go from left to right on each row and give a little review on each (if necessary).<br />
<br />
So first, starting with the top row, is the Collection 'Lasting Perfection' Concealer in the shade 'Fair'. I rant and rave about this concealer all the time so I'm not going to say much. It's just everything I look for in a concealer and brilliant for the price. If you haven't tried this, you're crazy.<br />
<br />
For eyeliner, I've been using Seventeen 'High Drama' Eyeliner. To be honest, there's nothing special about this eyeliner; I could probably find one just as good, if not better. I bought this in a rush a while ago and it has lasted me a while. It lasts all day and is really easy to apply. It's great for when I wake up late (basically every day).<br />
<br />
I bought this Bourjois Bronzing Powder about 4 months ago and I've still got over half of it left. As you probably already know, this smells like chocolate which is one of the main reasons as to why I bought it. I never find myself scrubbing at my face and looking like an Umpa-Lumpa with this bronzer. The tone of it, for me, isn't too orange-based which is what I often find in most bronzers. I use this to contour on my face and to blend on my chin and neck.<br />
<br />
Underneath that is my Soap&Glory 'Thick&Fast' Mascara in the shade 'Super Jet Black'. I will admit, I did only buy this yesterday in Boots and I've only used it twice but I love it already. I've used a different Soap&Glory mascara in the past and also enjoyed using that one. This gives my lashes a really natural look: a little bit more length and a good amount of volume.<br />
<br />
Below the mascara is my Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in the shade '004 Black Brown'. This pencil applies really easily and takes me about 2 minutes to fill in my brows in the morning. The brush on the lid isn't too great for blending; I have to use a different brow brush to do that but I still like this eyebrow pencil. It's just the right shade for my eyebrows.<br />
<br />
Next is a Sleek Blush in 'Rose Gold'. This is a rosy pink colour with a gold shimmer. It's perfect to give the wintery "I've just been out in the cold" look. I'm really fussy when it comes to blush colours but I absolutely love this shade; the pigmentation is perfect and it has just the right amount of shimmer to get away with wearing it daily.<br />
<br />
Rimmel 'Stay Matte' Pressed Powder is a product I talk about way too often and will probably continue to. As I've mentioned it so many times, all I'm going to say is that this stuff is wonderful.<br />
<br />
For foundation, I've been using Revlon 'Nearly Naked' in the shade '120- Vanilla'. I've nearly ran out of this which is quite sad. It's been absolutely great in the cold weather; it doesn't dry my skin out and it has really great coverage. It also doesn't make me break out like a lot of heavier foundations tend to do. My one criticism about this is that it doesn't have a pump; it's quite a lot of effort to use on mornings when you don't have time to stand and wait around for the remains to slowly drip from the bottom of the bottle.<br />
<br />
Moving on to the second row (starting back on the left) is a small variety of hair supplies. A makeup bag would not be complete without bobbles and grips, in my opinion. I also always seem to have a ribbon at the bottom of my bag just in case I fancy wearing one, I suppose.<br />
<br />
Lastly, I have 3 Real Techniques brushes. I use the 'expert face brush' for my foundation; it blends it so easily and gives me a smooth finish... If that makes any sense. I've then got two 'duo-fiber' brushes and I absolutely love these. They came in a trio with an eye shadow brush and were limited edition but I'm pretty sure Boots still sell them. I use the 'face brush' for powder, bronzer and blusher. Aghhh, I know this is bad but I bought these just before Christmas, threw away my Elf blusher, kabuki and powder brushes without thinking (they were, to put it bluntly, a load of utter garbage), and then realised that I now don't have a blusher/bronzer brush or enough money to buy decent ones. Therefore, I'm just using one for all 3 until I have actual money again to buy some more Real Technique ones. Um, anyway, both the face and contour brush are brilliant, pick up just the right amount of product and apply it really nicely.<br />
<br />
Well, that was quite a ramble, wasn't it? I hope you liked having a look into my makeup bag.<br />
<br />
As I said at the beginning of the post (if you're still reading, well done, you've nearly made it), I'm going to tag some people to do a post on what's in their makeup bags. I'm going to tag two people. The first is a youtuber (have a look at her channel <a href="http://www.youtube.com/katiejoslin1" target="_blank">here</a>, I love her videos) who recently made a blog which I also love and I'm excited to read her future blogposts. Her name is <a href="http://www.katiejoslin.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Katie Joslin</a> and she seems really lovely (let's hope she'll actually respond to this tag). The second person I'm going to tag is <a href="http://www.shayhirst.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Shay</a>, one of my best friends. She doesn't really do beauty posts on her blog but I'm sure she'll enjoy doing this.<br />
<br />
That's all for today. Apologies for the 2 week break; I've had exams and have took advantage of any free days by catching up on sleep or books. I also apologise if this post gets messy and makes no sense at times; I've been typing all day doing various coursework things so my brain is slightly scattered at the moment.<br />

Today, I come to you with an actual beauty post... Whaaaat? I know, I can't believe it either. Since I've got my DSLR (that I have named Cindy-Lou, if you were interested... You probably weren't), I have no excuse not to do a real beauty blogpost. So, for my first real post of 2014, I'm going to show you my empty products that I have hoarded over the past month. This might just be me but I love reading other people's empties blogposts so I thought I'd give it a go.<br>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;">L'Oreal Studio: Matt&Messy</span></div>
First on the list is my favourite salt spray that I have talked about quite a few times before. This has finally ran out after around 4 months. It probably lasted so long because, when there was only about a quarter of product left, I filled it up with water; it still worked well enough to give my hair a 'beachy wave' effect but the texture it gave after I diluted it wasn't as noticeable. This product works so well with my hair and I am definitely going to repurchase it for a third (possibly fourth) time.<br>
<br>

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SWf1s6pNlkw/UtF841Jj65I/AAAAAAAAAbY/NaAHGV40jhg/s1600/January+2014+046.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SWf1s6pNlkw/UtF841Jj65I/AAAAAAAAAbY/NaAHGV40jhg/s1600/January+2014+046.JPG" height="212" width="320"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Soap&Glory: Hand Food</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Moisturising my hands is one thing I always forget to do. I don't actually know why this is but, when I got this hand cream in a Soap&Glory gift set at the beginning of December, I realised that I really shouldn't forget. Since using this, my hands are so much softer and people have actually been noticing! Not only is this a really great hand moisturiser, it also smells great. It smells just like Soap&Glory's Righteous Butter and that, just below the Sugar Crush scent, is one of my favourite Soap&Glory scents. I imagine most people have tried this but I've actually only just acknowledged Soap&Glory's existence. I've been so caught up in all-things-Lush that I haven't looked further. I will most definitely be trying out more products from this brand and will continue to buy this hand cream. (Did I say 'Soap&Glory' enough times in this paragraph? I don't think I did.)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G6DfSz31SYM/UtGEOAsQInI/AAAAAAAAAbk/DsmZafkBgjo/s1600/January+2014+048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G6DfSz31SYM/UtGEOAsQInI/AAAAAAAAAbk/DsmZafkBgjo/s1600/January+2014+048.JPG" height="212" width="320"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Soap&Glory: Glad Hair Day</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Staying on the subject of Soap&Glory, I've just finished this brilliant shampoo. I also got this in the gift set I bought myself (I bought myself a Christmas present, so what?) and it was delightful. I love the scent; it's quite fruity and sweet and it made my hair so shiny. I'm definitely going to buy the larger version of this.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ba81EWHZ9jE/UtGP4Nwkr5I/AAAAAAAAAb0/AIH3AOR8muk/s1600/January+2014+049.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ba81EWHZ9jE/UtGP4Nwkr5I/AAAAAAAAAb0/AIH3AOR8muk/s1600/January+2014+049.JPG" height="212" width="320"></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Gorgeous by Gok: Body Polish</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'd had this for a while but only recently started using it again. It's part of Gok Wan's bath collection in Boots and I love everything about it. I use this in the shower to scrub my body and my skin feels lovely and soft when I get out. The scent of it never fails to make me happy; it smells almost like sherbet and it is heavenly. The packaging is also really pretty so I might wash it out and use it as a trinket box or something along those lines.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1XlK5_ujJ0/UtF84ShJfHI/AAAAAAAAAbU/pxyQTsKfsys/s1600/January+2014+047.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1XlK5_ujJ0/UtF84ShJfHI/AAAAAAAAAbU/pxyQTsKfsys/s1600/January+2014+047.JPG" height="212" width="320"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Simple, Kind To Eyes: Eye Make-Up Remover</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This bottle isn't actually empty but there's no product left in it; I filled it up with water after I'd used it all because I find it easier to take my eyeliner off with a wet cotton pad before washing my face. This is how I'm making-do until I buy a new make-up remover. This product took my eyeliner and mascara off so easily and didn't irritate the sensitive skin around my eyes. Although, I think I am going to venture into other make-up remover brands as I think there is probably a better one out there.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YONnWNkoMtY/UtHC-F1opCI/AAAAAAAAAcI/BmC8oojnhic/s1600/January+2014+050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YONnWNkoMtY/UtHC-F1opCI/AAAAAAAAAcI/BmC8oojnhic/s1600/January+2014+050.JPG" height="212" width="320"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Rimmel: Scandal Eyes, Retro Glam</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was so sad when this mascara ran out at the very beginning of this week. It is possibly the best high street mascara I have ever used. It gives my eyelashes just the right amount of volume and length and makes my eyes look so pretty. It was such a surprise because this is also the cheapest mascara I've bought in a long time; I'm pretty sure it was only £6.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fCYz1c5-cuM/UtHFRYitAnI/AAAAAAAAAcQ/YWW0ATBIMfc/s1600/January+2014+051.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fCYz1c5-cuM/UtHFRYitAnI/AAAAAAAAAcQ/YWW0ATBIMfc/s1600/January+2014+051.JPG" height="212" width="320"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Collection- Lasting Perfection Concealer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can tell I've finished this product because, as it does every time I buy it, everything has scratched off the front of it. I'm sure you've already seen many beauty bloggers talk about how great this concealer is so I won't go into detail. I am literally trying to scrape the edges of the tube to get some product out of it. I've been too lazy and tired to go to Boots and buy a new one so I'm trying to make-do. It is a permanent fixture in my make-up bag and will continue to be for eternity (or until something better comes along).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's all for my empties! Hope you enjoyed looking at all of my empty bottles, tubes and tubs currently littering my room.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GhLodXrwIF0/UscD9OcLZ3I/AAAAAAAAAak/8h5xPWZhNRo/s1600/A+New+Year.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GhLodXrwIF0/UscD9OcLZ3I/AAAAAAAAAak/8h5xPWZhNRo/s320/A+New+Year.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
Happy New Year!</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: left;">Yet another year has gone by in a blur and I am feeling more motivated than I usually do at the beginning of a new year. I'm not entirely sure why this is but it may have something to do with me being more aware of the fact that 2013 was an extremely average year. I was discussing this with <a href="http://www.shayhirst.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Shay</a> (with whom I spent New Years Eve with) and, yes, I had some good times but there's nothing I can think of that specifically reminds me of 2013, making me feel like it was a successful year. I had absolutely no issue counting down to 2014 and accepting it with open arms. Although I may not be 100% prepared for this year, I am ready to accept the challenges it brings and even make some challenges myself to conquer. </span><br />
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: left;">This being said, here are my New Years Resolutions...</span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;">1- Blog more. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've had this blog for around 4 months now and I'm determined to really get it going and start doing real beauty posts. I'm not sure where I want to go with this blog but I'm hoping that 2014 is the year that I find out. I'm going to buy a DSLR camera this week so I can finally take photos that don't need extreme editing. The main reason I've not done any actual beauty posts is because I don't have anything to take a good, satisfying quality picture with; this takes me smoothly into my next resolution...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2- Know my DSLR inside-out.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Once I get my camera, I'm going to take the time to learn about all of it's features so I can really make the most of it. I've been given some books on photography and DSLRs for Christmas so I shall be having a read through those and, hopefully, this time next year, I'll be much more confident in taking photos.<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3- Be Healthy.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is my last resolution. When I say I'm going to 'be healthy', I don't mean that I'm going to calorie-count, eat nothing but salad and ban myself from anything sugary and fun; that would be extremely unrealistic and I would never be able to do that. Whenever I say that I want to be healthier, people always jump to the conclusion that I'm going to start dieting or starving myself but this is not what I mean. I love food way too much to do this. What I mean is that I'm going to be more strict with how much unhealthy food I eat and stop eating out of boredom. I'm also going to try and walk to places more often instead of being lazy and taking the bus. Little things like this can make a big difference if I keep it up throughout the year; I'm determined to feel healthier.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
That's all for my resolutions now. These may only sound small and there are actually a lot of things I want to do this year but I've kept it realistic and stuck with 3 main things. Let's hope that, this time next year, I can do a similar post to this one and be able so say that I have stuck to these goals.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'll be back shortly probably with a real blogpost and DSLR-quality pictures. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ciao For Now</div>

About half way through getting ready, it occurred to me that I haven't done a blogpost in a while, as I've been busy, so I decided to do a festive 'get ready with me'. This is usually a thing beauty vloggers do but who cares? Anyway, enjoy!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sTsazUYrtjc/UrhLmyC9u-I/AAAAAAAAAZY/ZnRy4rgHF_c/s1600/Products%231+edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sTsazUYrtjc/UrhLmyC9u-I/AAAAAAAAAZY/ZnRy4rgHF_c/s320/Products%231+edited.jpg" width="215" /></a></div>
After several cups of tea and biscuits, I had a shower and used some of my new Soap and Glory products I bought a few days ago.<br />
<br />
Just before getting in the shower, I took off my eye make-up I had been wearing during the day so it didn't run down my face and leave ugly black stains; that is never a good look.<br />
<br />
After getting out of the shower, I used the Soap and Glory body butter, 'The Righteous Butter', all over my body.<br />
<br />
Whilst my hair was damp, I put some curling mousse in it and sprayed it with salt spray (it sounds weird to use two, I know, but I feel like they work well together when curling my hair).<br />
<br />
I then moisturised my face with Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturiser.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3V4DEql1ij0/UrhN32f3KbI/AAAAAAAAAZk/29yPLC6dv_Q/s1600/Products%232+edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="209" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3V4DEql1ij0/UrhN32f3KbI/AAAAAAAAAZk/29yPLC6dv_Q/s320/Products%232+edited.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vw-X3c3PmTQ/UriPmibhgLI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/dxm6fHOzTrg/s1600/Makeup+edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vw-X3c3PmTQ/UriPmibhgLI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/dxm6fHOzTrg/s320/Makeup+edited.jpg" width="275" /></a></div>
Next on the list was my make-up. Since I was going out with my family, I didn't over-do it on the make-up; I kept it quite simple.<br />
<br />
I used my Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply my foundation, Revlon Nearly Naked in the shade '120-Vanilla'. I love the way my Real Techniques brush applies my foundation; it blends it really well.<br />
<br />
I used a cheap, bronze eye shadow palette from Superdrug on my eyes: I used a light gold (the bottom colour on the palette in the picture above) in the corner of my eye, a rose gold colour (at the top) all over the lid and and then blended the dark brown in my crease (left). All of these colours were shimmery so I thought it made the look extra festive. I then put some white eyeliner from Elf on my waterline, did a little cat eye using my Seventeen liquid eyeliner and used Rimmel Scandal Eyes- Retro Glam Mascara on my eyelashes. I don't have a close-up picture because the ones I took were utter garbage.<br />
<br />
Next was my Collection concealer that I can not live without. I put this under my eyes and on any blemishes. I set this, and the foundation I applied earlier, using Rimmel Stay Matte powder so it would stay in place much longer.<br />
<br />
I bronzed my face and neck using Bourjouis bronzer and used a Sleek blush in 'Rose Gold' to give a lovely 'rosy cheeks' effect. This blush has a slight shimmer to it so it also highlights my cheekbones.<br />
<br />
To add the tiniest bit of colour to my lips, I used a Palmers lip balm underneath and applied a tiny swipe of Barry M lipstick, in the middle of my top and bottom lip and blended it out using my finger.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7oUzIBgT07k/UriR-y6WjOI/AAAAAAAAAaA/OoHZRC9FEZ0/s1600/Hair+edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7oUzIBgT07k/UriR-y6WjOI/AAAAAAAAAaA/OoHZRC9FEZ0/s320/Hair+edited.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I curled my hair using a Babyliss curling wand and sprayed some more salt spray before brushing it out slightly. For extra volume, I flip my head upside down, shake my hair about with my hands and flip it back up. This isn't a long-lasting fix but it's perfect for when you're having pictures taken and your hair's flat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IHmzaPDj_V0/UriVHjcgXVI/AAAAAAAAAaU/DccU1U87OjM/s1600/Boots+edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IHmzaPDj_V0/UriVHjcgXVI/AAAAAAAAAaU/DccU1U87OjM/s320/Boots+edited.jpg" width="242" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rM4hlG_J1HQ/UriUkzaoJ7I/AAAAAAAAAaM/Ea6aD1vDy3o/s1600/Outfit+edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rM4hlG_J1HQ/UriUkzaoJ7I/AAAAAAAAAaM/Ea6aD1vDy3o/s320/Outfit+edited.jpg" width="210" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can't see my outfit very well on these pictures but they're the only ones I got (I'm hopeless!). Here's a list of what I'm wearing and where I got it from, if you're interested:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>

<li>Jumper- H&M</li>
<li>Skirt- New Look</li>
<li>Necklace- Etsy</li>
<li>Boots- New Look</li>
<li>Socks- Primark</li>
</ul>
I hope you liked this post; I know I haven't posted much. This is due to lots of exams and illness. This could possibly be the last post before Christmas; if so, have a lovely Christmas!<br />

I thought I'd do a post about how lucky I am; I have the best friends and family.<br />
<br />
First of all, I just need to say thank you to all of my family and friends who got me cards and presents; I've been so lucky to be given lots of lovely things.<br />
<br />
Whilst I'm writing this, I'm listening to music on my phone through my new docking station from my mum. It was such a surprise and it feels good to blast music through the house with it. My friends got me some amazing presents including a dress, jar of lights, nail varnish, Lush shower gel, magic poo (yes, you read that correctly) and lots of food. I guarantee that I'll have devoured all the food by the end of the week. I also got a lot of tea/hot beverage related things: twinings tea, 2 mugs, a teapot and enough hot chocolate to last me a lifetime (wow, I'm going to be putting on a few pounds!).<br />
<br />
I went into town (Manchester) later on in the day and spent a lot of my birthday money. I got some clothes that I'm planning on using in a 'Wintry Wardrobe' blogpost later on this month (if I remember...). I also spent quite a lot of my money in Lush; I might do a Lush haul soon (again, this is just an idea and may never happen as I am lazy, forgetful and have too many ideas). We went into HMV and I finally purchased AM by Arctic Monkeys and Midnight Memories, One Direction's new album. I also may have bought Dirty Dancing because why not?<br />
<br />
Here's a rubbish collage of some of my fabulous presents and purchases-<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lpm-uvksScg/Up9Uj8oZX0I/AAAAAAAAAXo/umiuKQ0V36E/s1600/Birthday+Presents.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lpm-uvksScg/Up9Uj8oZX0I/AAAAAAAAAXo/umiuKQ0V36E/s320/Birthday+Presents.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I spent the night of my birthday with my best friends. We ate pizza, chocolate and sweets until we felt sick and kept the neighbours awake until about 3am.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Overall, if you didn't guess already, I had an amazing birthday. All that's left to say now is 'hurry up Christmas!'.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

Therefore, I made a little plan to keep myself from procrastination and thought I'd share it with any of you having similar issues.<br />
<br />
So, firstly, get yourself some 'revision supplies' (snacks) to keep yourself from going hungry. I chose these-<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jCSMQwLW7AM/Uo-zz2jEw9I/AAAAAAAAAVc/QJIgC0wlu80/s1600/blogger-image-575991140.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jCSMQwLW7AM/Uo-zz2jEw9I/AAAAAAAAAVc/QJIgC0wlu80/s320/blogger-image-575991140.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Before you start any revising, do any urgent jobs/tasks/things that will distract you whilst trying to revise. This includes things such as tidying your room, washing pots, showering etc. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Clear a space for you to revise; make sure you're comfortable and will be able to concentrate. If you're sat at a desk, make sure you won't get restless sat on a chair and, if you're sat on your bed, make sure you don't get too comfortable and fall asleep.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Make sure to tell people who may distract you (friends and family) that you're revising so they can leave you alone and try and keep their noise to a minimum. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Unless you really need it, turn your phone off to keep you from going on Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter etc. You can give yourself small breaks every so often so you can go on these for half an hour or so. Only do this if you know that you will definitely be able to go back revising and not sit on the internet, accidentally, for hours.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Last of all, don't over-do it. If you're getting worked up and stressed, staying up until stupid hours of the morning trying to remember everything, have a few hours to yourself to just relax and not think about it. If, like me, you like to revise at the last minute and end up panicking over it, just take yourself away from it all for an hour or two and have a bath; whatever calms you down. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope this has helped you in some way. This is a bit different to my usual posts because, not going to lie to you, I'm being lazy. I have some beauty posts planned but it's my birthday at the end of this week (yes, I'm playing the 'Birthday Week' card) so I'm taking a break. I'll be back soon though with some better blogposts. </div>

It's been a while hasn't it? I do have a valid reason though, I promise. The last fortnight has been really busy for me: <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The first week of my nearly-two week absence was spent revising and stressing over a Spanish speaking exam. I managed to get an A* so it all paid off, luckily! I'm currently planning a revision guide blogpost to help anyone who, like myself, struggles to sit themselves down and revise.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tblsxcUeJNY/Uo-ztMr6JUI/AAAAAAAAAVM/Fw2I3mf3nYY/s1600/blogger-image-1551136028.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tblsxcUeJNY/Uo-ztMr6JUI/AAAAAAAAAVM/Fw2I3mf3nYY/s320/blogger-image-1551136028.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the Sunday before my exam, I went to see Vampire Weekend at Manchester Arena with my friend, Georgia. It was a really great night; not only did I get to see Vampire Weekend, I got to see Noah and The Whale as they were their support act. Both bands were incredible live and played some great songs. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On Wednesday, I went to see Ghost Town play at The Roadhouse in Manchester. It was such an unbelievable night. Not only did I finally get to see Ghost Town after hoping for so long that they'd come to the UK, I then met them and Sam Pepper afterwards! Then, as if meeting them once wasn't amazing enough, Georgia and I were leaving The Roadhouse when Kevin and Alix (from the band) came and spoke to us. We then got another picture with Kevin and had a hug; we proceeded, afterwards, to jump into her dad's car, squealing and shaking slightly. if you haven't heard of Ghost Town before, you can have a listen here- </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On Thursday, I went to see Catching Fire and had an emotional breakdown. I won't go on about it because I'm going to do a separate post on it later this month so watch out for that!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyways, I'll be back next week with several posts; it's my birthday in a week! I will be doing some actual fashion and beauty posts soon; I haven't forgotten what I actually made this blog for in the first place. There's just been so any exciting things that just aren't beauty/fashion related!</div>

There's probably nothing happy about your Monday on this (probably rainy if you live in the UK) Monday morning. I'm walking to school and thought I'd do a little weekend update. <div><br></div><div>(Apologies for lack of editing, I'm writing this post on my phone; well, I'm walking to school so obviously it's not going to be on my laptop.)</div><div><br></div><div>So, besides a lot of fuss with a lack of trams, nearly breaking my finger at wok and getting caught in the middle of a thunderstorm, I had a really nice weekend! </div><div><br></div><div>I got my nails done by my friend, Annabel, who works at Pretty Me Nails (have a look at their twitter @pretrymenails and, if you live near their shop in Manchester, go and get your nails done). Here are mine:</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-ujs9u_4B7Sk/UoOAWb4FtiI/AAAAAAAAAUw/IpIZEK6g71Q/s640/blogger-image-400800046.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-ujs9u_4B7Sk/UoOAWb4FtiI/AAAAAAAAAUw/IpIZEK6g71Q/s640/blogger-image-400800046.jpg"></a></div> Rae and I then went to costa where I think I found my winter obsession: salted caramel lattes. Also, look at the festive costa cups:</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-JALesVZL0ls/UoCUO5jOHLI/AAAAAAAAAUg/E9z9KSYF238/s640/blogger-image-1225078576.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-JALesVZL0ls/UoCUO5jOHLI/AAAAAAAAAUg/E9z9KSYF238/s640/blogger-image-1225078576.jpg"></a></div></div><div><br></div><div>That's me done for today now anyway. Hope you had a lovely weekend and have a fab Monday. </div><div><br></div><div>Ciao For Now</div><div>xx</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17322551673731875733noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5864388515919669692.post-51645944520775178442013-11-06T11:47:00.000-08:002013-11-06T12:00:19.301-08:00October Favourites<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Hello! It's November and guess who's monthly favourites post is late? Yup, it's mine. </span><br />
<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I've had quite a few favourite things this month. Quite a lot of them are non-beauty favourites but I'm going to share them with you anyway. Let's have a look then...</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Beauty Faves<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6yvZfAfUyW0/UnkhAzHr6rI/AAAAAAAAASQ/YYJ5nNdaRJY/s1600/Brushes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6yvZfAfUyW0/UnkhAzHr6rI/AAAAAAAAASQ/YYJ5nNdaRJY/s320/Brushes.jpg" width="285" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
ELF Makeup Brushes</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I ordered these brushes from ELF after a few people had recommended the brand to me. I bought a 10 piece set and, although I didn't like some of them, these five are really good for the price I paid. I use them on a daily basis and they're the perfect size to fit in my makeup bag. I think I'm going to do a review on ELF products as a separate post so I'll elaborate then; otherwise, this post will be way too long and boring.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VaKRbGBwa60/UmLRWQeNNnI/AAAAAAAAAOg/uTW38JDuj7I/s1600/Powder.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VaKRbGBwa60/UmLRWQeNNnI/AAAAAAAAAOg/uTW38JDuj7I/s320/Powder.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Rimmel, Stay Matte Translucent Powder<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've wrote about this powder in a previous post (<a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/boots-haul.html" target="_blank">this one</a>) so I've already rambled about how great it is. I'm on my 2nd/3rd purchase of this stuff because it's just so great. It sets my foundation and concealer so well and mattifies my oily skin for several hours. I will continue to use this religiously until something better comes along; I don't know how much better it could get though.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4W9a0nWxmIU/UnkfI8tMDKI/AAAAAAAAASE/96tSW4tde-w/s1600/Eyeliner+edited.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4W9a0nWxmIU/UnkfI8tMDKI/AAAAAAAAASE/96tSW4tde-w/s320/Eyeliner+edited.jpg" width="293" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Seventeen 'High Drama' Liquid Eyeliner</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I bought this a few weeks ago in a dash to buy a cheap eyeliner in Boots. I saw this one for around £4 so I thought I'd give it a try. Any other cheap eyeliner I've purchased has crumbled off my face (sounds disgusting, I know) after a few hours but I was surprised to find that this lasted the whole day. I find the applicator really easy to use and very rarely have to re-do my eyeliner. As well as long-lasting, it's also quite thick so, unlike I've had to do before with cheap eyeliners, I don't have to put a few coats on until it's actually black and not grey. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H2T1L02hnXs/Ujs7q3Wb8ZI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/YirkMOO-Gyo/s1600/T-Zone+Strips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H2T1L02hnXs/Ujs7q3Wb8ZI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/YirkMOO-Gyo/s320/T-Zone+Strips.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
T-Zone Nose Pore Strips</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Again, I've written about these in another post (<a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/let-me-begin-this-post-by-apologising.html" target="_blank">this one</a>) so I won't go into too much detail. These little strips are my nose saviours. I think my nose would just turn into one huge blackhead without them. I feel so fresh and clean after using them and my skin feels spectacularly smooth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wLYXC0xxpzA/UmLTcXg5RhI/AAAAAAAAAO8/lFnm6u_A7Ok/s1600/Lipstick.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wLYXC0xxpzA/UmLTcXg5RhI/AAAAAAAAAO8/lFnm6u_A7Ok/s320/Lipstick.png" width="198" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Barry M Lipstick: Shade 162</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is one of the things I bought during my <a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/boots-haul.html" target="_blank">Boots haul</a> and it is amazing. I wore it to Arctic Monkeys and a few other events last month. I love the colour of this; it's just such a flattering, autumnal, berry red colour. It's also quite long-lasting so I think I may have to purchase some more Barry M lipsticks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YuDVYxSBLCU/UnkkpltCz1I/AAAAAAAAASc/sYj5VzpzYO4/s1600/Lipbalm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YuDVYxSBLCU/UnkkpltCz1I/AAAAAAAAASc/sYj5VzpzYO4/s320/Lipbalm.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Palmer's Dark Chocolate&Mint Lip Balm</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you didn't know already, I adore mint. I love the smell, the colour, the taste; everything and anything mint! I finished my first one of these (as you may be able to tell from its physical appearance) about a week ago and gosh I miss the smell of it. It smells like an after eight chocolate mint and it is truly divine. It has also worked wonders on my lips; I can feel them going dry after just a few days of not using it. If you like mint, I seriously recommend this. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Non-Beauty Faves</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Gosh, these things! When in doubt on a lazy/ill day, eat peanut butter: this is my rule for days like that. Of all the peanut butter products available, these are my absolute favourite. I'm absolutely obsessed with them and, whenever I see them in shops, I just <i>have</i> to buy a packet (or four...). Peanut butter and chocolate is, hands down, the best food combination to ever exist. Whoever decided that it would be a good combination deserves every award, ever.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-au9Kqq1v0To/UnkboMcZ7GI/AAAAAAAAAR8/tTgPgSxnqnE/s1600/blogger-image-278807338.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-au9Kqq1v0To/UnkboMcZ7GI/AAAAAAAAAR8/tTgPgSxnqnE/s320/blogger-image-278807338.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
IKEA Blankets </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(bad quality picture, apologies!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I recently had a trip to IKEA and bought two of these blankets for £3 each, absolute bargain! (...I sound like an old woman, oh dear) They're so cosy and perfect for chilly Autumn mornings; the christmassy colours are also a plus. I love the cute scalloped ends, it's just a really pretty detail. I can't imagine they'll last very long but, for £3, I wouldn't expect much anyway. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5JqT6CRFq7E/Unkbkr_qkOI/AAAAAAAAARk/hO0vKAVg904/s1600/blogger-image--24010884.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5JqT6CRFq7E/Unkbkr_qkOI/AAAAAAAAARk/hO0vKAVg904/s320/blogger-image--24010884.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Options Mint Hot Chocolate</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(bad photo again, sorry!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Oh, would you look at that? Another mint flavoured thing! This is two of my favourite things in one packet: mint and hot beverages. I don't know what I did on pyjama/junk food days before discovering these. I would happily accept a lifetime supply of mint hot chocolate. Nothing more to say about these other than, if you haven't tried them yet, go and buy a sachet! (unless you don't like mint, obviously)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://www.radioutd.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/am.jpg" width="320" /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/tOO9dFuTlLk?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lastly, I have a favourite song from October: No.1 Party Anthem by Arctic Monkeys from their recent album, AM. I went to see them in October (<a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/arctic-monkeys-live-what-night.html" target="_blank">I wrote a post about it</a>) and I sang a bit too loudly to this song; my friend could hear me two seats away. It's such a perfect song when you want to relax and be happy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's all for my October favourites. Happy November everyone!</div>

I hope you had a great day/evening; I certainly did.<br />
<br />
Yesterday was a busy day; after a lot of faffing and fussing, I ended up hosting a Halloween sleepover/party (I'd say we put enough effort into it for it to be labelled as a little party) for two of my besties, Georgia and <a href="http://www.shayhirst.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Shay</a>, and myself. I must say, it was pretty fun.<br />
<br />
When I mentioned faffing and fussing a few sentences ago, I wasn't exaggerating. It was a<i> lot </i>more of a faff than I thought it would be. Considering this, we still managed to get some pretty cool- I mean, um, scary and spooky *inserts spooky synonyms* decorations and fixed up my room until we were content with it's spookiness. I got some terrible pictures of some of the decorations-<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-301AW4u4GSY/UnQTCEhwRdI/AAAAAAAAARI/DhxqGG37qgU/s1600/Decorations.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-301AW4u4GSY/UnQTCEhwRdI/AAAAAAAAARI/DhxqGG37qgU/s320/Decorations.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Even though we weren't really going anywhere, we all still dressed up: I decided on a cat, Shay was a doll (courtesy of my fab makeup skills) and Georgia made herself into a pretty great skull queen.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fjI9dCQK3A0/UnQKPUb_RcI/AAAAAAAAAQE/HJEtt3oItYY/s1600/Halloween+Makeup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fjI9dCQK3A0/UnQKPUb_RcI/AAAAAAAAAQE/HJEtt3oItYY/s320/Halloween+Makeup.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RMTVI7CDFAU/UnQNj4HrTeI/AAAAAAAAAQY/8AuxPgvyr1I/s1600/Cat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RMTVI7CDFAU/UnQNj4HrTeI/AAAAAAAAAQY/8AuxPgvyr1I/s320/Cat.jpg" width="203" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="248" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BxU2W4t8vQ0/UnQMWGfBUqI/AAAAAAAAAQM/BaOQQCLQi9g/s320/Halloween+outfit1.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
During this sleepover, we bought and carved, what seemed to be, last three pumpkins in the whole of Manchester and made one hell of a mess in the kitchen. They did turn out pretty great though; I was extremely proud of my cat carving. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kUPRqScfZl4/UnQP4ZsMkWI/AAAAAAAAAQk/h0CvgaTStCE/s1600/APumpkins.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kUPRqScfZl4/UnQP4ZsMkWI/AAAAAAAAAQk/h0CvgaTStCE/s320/APumpkins.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Saving the best until last, of course, we bought lots of treats and baked some yummy red velvet cupcakes-</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kW11gacZOwg/UnQQmT1NuMI/AAAAAAAAAQw/8nFmd36qvFI/s1600/IMG_4005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kW11gacZOwg/UnQQmT1NuMI/AAAAAAAAAQw/8nFmd36qvFI/s320/IMG_4005.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;">After carving pumpkins and eating pizza, sweets and cake, we sat and chatted for the rest of the night. It was a successful evening, if I do say so myself!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll be back very soon with my October favourites as it's officially November, yaaaay! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Having a fun Halloween tonight? I quickly whipped up a Halloween themed playlist this morning for the sleepover I'm going to tonight if you fancy a look! It's very Ghost Town based; if you haven't heard of Ghost Town, you need to have a look! They're such a great band and I'm going to one of their gigs in November. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">It's quite a varied playlist but I think the songs are certainly relevant. Here it is- http://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL19bEAYInDTZq1uYsEgj2Ycl4gBRvJ1Ej</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Have a scare-tastic (bad pun) Halloween and I'll be back tomorrow with fun pictures and more from my Halloween sleepover! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QeVV3ZJg7Bk/Umqcx82GReI/AAAAAAAAAPI/W0E1WUgQ3lo/s1600/AM+Collage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QeVV3ZJg7Bk/Umqcx82GReI/AAAAAAAAAPI/W0E1WUgQ3lo/s320/AM+Collage.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I can honestly say that it was one of the best nights of my life (apart from having beer thrown all over us half way through Brianstorm and smelling quite strongly of it for the rest of the night...)<br />
<br />
Their support act, The Strypes, really got the audience pumped and ready for Arctic Monkeys. I've never heard of them before then but they were really good. Have a look <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbq33IMQH48" target="_blank">here</a> at one of their songs.<br />
<br />
After The Strypes, about half an hour was spent waiting in anticipation for the band to come on, they finally came on and opened with Do I Wanna Know. The atmosphere was unreal. . Alex Turner, oh my. He was wearing a, what looked like suede, forest green blazer... wow. It was quite a sight. We were seated as we weren't old enough to get standing tickets (you had to be 16, damn.) and, looking down on everyone standing, it looked incredible. Everybody was jumping around everywhere and going insane as the beat kicked in on each song. I was quite jealous;I'm not complaining though, I still had an amazing time<br />
<br />
Time flew by in a singing, dancing blur and, before I knew it, Alex was announcing that it was their last song of the night. We all went home singing happily to AM in the car and feeling as if our lives had just been made.<br />
<br />
Throughout the concert, I took so many videos that my phone ran out of storage. I'd post some of them but my embarrassingly loud singing is too much for the internet and my dignity.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ciao for now</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
xx</div>

I've had it written up for days but I completely forgot about it because of my baking excitement. Anyway, I've remembered it now!<br />
<br />
The other day, I went to boots and bought some things so I thought I'd show you what I got-<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gRRESNB_tZ4/UmLPJJyAG_I/AAAAAAAAAOA/pFTPw4abeQM/s1600/Concealer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="259" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gRRESNB_tZ4/UmLPJJyAG_I/AAAAAAAAAOA/pFTPw4abeQM/s320/Concealer.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Firstly, I bought this concealer. I've purchased this a few times now but I just <i>have</i> to renew it whenever it runs out; I really love this concealer. I think I'm going to look into purchasing some other concealers soon to see if I'm missing anything; I've had a look around but only at reviews. Until then, I think I'm going to stick with this because it's just so great! I highly recommend it for getting rid of dark, under-eye circles.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TVAQNkCGveo/UmLQEu8yJyI/AAAAAAAAAOI/S0p8OOTYMbI/s1600/Eyebrow+pencil.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="161" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TVAQNkCGveo/UmLQEu8yJyI/AAAAAAAAAOI/S0p8OOTYMbI/s320/Eyebrow+pencil.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I was recommended this Maybelline eyebrow pencil by my friend, <a href="http://www.raebethany.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Rae</a> . I've only very recently started filling in my brows so I'm looking around for a perfect brow product. I couldn't find my exact shade, this is slightly lighter than I would have liked, as there wasn't a variety of shades to choose from (the next shade down was way too dark). I tested it out when I got home though and it seemed to look okay.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t1868YdZh8w/UmLRQSnZMDI/AAAAAAAAAOU/ShKaNFrAmtE/s1600/Foundation.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t1868YdZh8w/UmLRQSnZMDI/AAAAAAAAAOU/ShKaNFrAmtE/s320/Foundation.jpg" width="201" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VaKRbGBwa60/UmLRWQeNNnI/AAAAAAAAAOc/KLBf5dCMZEk/s1600/Powder.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VaKRbGBwa60/UmLRWQeNNnI/AAAAAAAAAOc/KLBf5dCMZEk/s320/Powder.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I went to the Rimmel aisle next to renew my amazing Stay Matte setting powder (seriously, this stuff works wonders on my oily skin). I saw that Rimmel had added a foundation to their Stay Matte collection so I thought I'd give it a try. Since I love the powder so much, I have high expectations of this foundation. I've never really ventured into foundation products before (I'm aways scared it will make me look caked in make up) but its got to the point, on bad skin days, when I use way too much concealer; I decided to give in to my cakey-face worries and just buy a foundation for these days. I'm hoping that the next product I bought will help to make it look evenly spread and blended...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YvMRAS7NBa4/UmLSsg5OYJI/AAAAAAAAAOo/Owng2oFMA9c/s1600/Brush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YvMRAS7NBa4/UmLSsg5OYJI/AAAAAAAAAOo/Owng2oFMA9c/s320/Brush.jpg" width="283" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ah, yes, my ultimate buy of the day- a Real Techniques brush. I've been drooling over these brushes every time I spot them in Boots but I've had to drag myself away and stick to my list. I finally decided to put this stippling brush on my list and purchased it. I've heard so many good things about these brushes, I'm excited.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z4X0LES4HsE/UmLTYfLN1GI/AAAAAAAAAOw/we_uydnH90s/s1600/Nail+Varnish.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z4X0LES4HsE/UmLTYfLN1GI/AAAAAAAAAOw/we_uydnH90s/s320/Nail+Varnish.jpg" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wLYXC0xxpzA/UmLTcXg5RhI/AAAAAAAAAO4/YkDvYUrz6zs/s1600/Lipstick.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wLYXC0xxpzA/UmLTcXg5RhI/AAAAAAAAAO4/YkDvYUrz6zs/s320/Lipstick.png" width="198" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The last aisle I went to was the Barry M aisle. I was browsing through the nail varnishes for an Autumn shade and saw that they have a new matte collection. When I spotted this burgundy one, of course I had to buy it. I also had a glance at the lipsticks, reminding myself that I've been wanting a berry red lipstick for autumn. I've never really looked at the Barry M lipsticks before but I'm glad I did! When I saw this colour, I didn't think twice about purchasing it. I've been wanting a lipstick in this shade for a while now and I think it will look great with neutral eye make up.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, they're the things I bought from Boots. I hope you've liked this. I love seeing what other people buy and talking about my own purchases; I think I'll do more posts like this!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ciao for now</div>

<br />
I've had a very busy weekend which means I have a couple of blog posts. There are going to be two this week:<br />
<br />
On Saturday, I went to Boots and bought a few things (or maybe more than a few) so I'm going to do a little haul later on this week. I also had a sleepover with one of my best friends, Shay: we watched Kick Ass, ate shortbread dipped in caramel that she made and had hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows. On Sunday, we baked chocolate chip cookies and brownies; they were amazing (I'm actually eating a brownie as I write this). We decided to do a kind-of blog collaboration and I'm going to post both of the recipes tomorrow so be excited!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

That's all I have to say today so I'm going to go and watch Doctor Who (I'm re-watching them from Christopher Eccleston to Matt Smith). Come back tomorrow for two awesome baking recipes!<br />

Anyway...<br />
<br />
Everyone has those days where they just can not be bothered to spend a lot of time on their hair. For me, this is most days. Plaits and braids are easy to do, they look really great and they're perfect for those days when you only have 20 minutes to get ready (which, again, is me most days). This is my first tutorial-style blog post so I'm not sure how it's going to turn out; I'm not the greatest at instructions but there's a first time for everything. So, I went and had a look on <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/KateBuist/hair/" target="_blank">my Pinterest board of hairstyles</a> and got some inspiration for a few simple braid/plait hairstyles.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><i>Side-Braid</i></u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WH5w1k09av0/UlKrA06M5GI/AAAAAAAAALU/7lTpIYlLPyE/s1600/Braid1-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WH5w1k09av0/UlKrA06M5GI/AAAAAAAAALU/7lTpIYlLPyE/s320/Braid1-1.jpg" width="221" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5TWUvkqYCjw/UlKrDFKq7ZI/AAAAAAAAALc/BVQSR42tlnM/s1600/Braid1-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5TWUvkqYCjw/UlKrDFKq7ZI/AAAAAAAAALc/BVQSR42tlnM/s320/Braid1-2.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This one is probably my favourite; it reminds me of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. When I first saw something similar to this on Pinterest, I thought I'd never be able to do it as it looks quite complicated but it's really not! As long as you know how to do a French-braid, like I've done at the top, this hairstyle should only take you five minutes at most. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 1: If you don't already have a side-parting like me (if you do, you can skip this step), you need to choose a side and brush it into a side-parting. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 2: French-braid your hair, starting at the root of your parting, down to around the bottom of your ear. If you need to, you can take a small elastic band and tie it around the braid to hold it in place. I, personally, prefer not to do this, I think it looks like it flows into the second plait better without it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 3: Joining the braided hair into it, plait the rest of your hair as you would in a regular side-plait and tie a bobble at the end.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Easy, right?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<u><i>Plaited updo</i></u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uXTdq1EeS3c/UlKvKgYhGPI/AAAAAAAAALo/oXGC64aAiFw/s1600/Braid2-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uXTdq1EeS3c/UlKvKgYhGPI/AAAAAAAAALo/oXGC64aAiFw/s320/Braid2-1.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This was actually my first attempt at doing this hairstyle and it was really simple. I'll be using this one quite a lot now, I love it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 1: Split your hair into two on either side of your head and plait each side like this:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LRuk1QTxfiI/UlKv5qFLYQI/AAAAAAAAALw/x41xCTNagXY/s1600/Braid2-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LRuk1QTxfiI/UlKv5qFLYQI/AAAAAAAAALw/x41xCTNagXY/s320/Braid2-2.jpg" width="230" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 2: Cross each plait over your head: wrap the left one behind your head, towards the right and over towards your parting; use grips/bobby pins to secure it in a couple of different places to keep it secured all day. Do the same with the plait on the right but bring it behind to the left.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's a pretty bad demonstration picture:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XnZsMJmQn3Q/UlKw9yBvjTI/AAAAAAAAAL8/q_kcPFm5Vrw/s1600/Braid2-3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XnZsMJmQn3Q/UlKw9yBvjTI/AAAAAAAAAL8/q_kcPFm5Vrw/s320/Braid2-3.jpg" width="187" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Step 3: Use more grips/bobby pins to keep in any loose bits of hair. Try not to use too many though or you won't be able to see the actual hairstyle. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's it, you're done! Another simple yet effective hairstyle for bad hair days.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><u>Fishtail Plait</u></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eSN4r1bNab8/UlKx8xH5QdI/AAAAAAAAAME/WXFVYzE8PxE/s1600/Braid3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eSN4r1bNab8/UlKx8xH5QdI/AAAAAAAAAME/WXFVYzE8PxE/s320/Braid3.jpg" width="183" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This one is probably the most difficult to do, it took me a few tries when I first learnt how to do it. It's also really difficult to explain so, instead of trying and miserably failing to show you how to do it myself, here's the tutorial that I used- <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyZkowmdZv8" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyZkowmdZv8</a>. Once you've mastered how to do it, it's a really quick style to do.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><u>Little Extras</u></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make your side braid/plait even cuter, simply tie a ribbon at the end of it; look at how great they look:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PPlx-vDUnDQ/UlK0gNiJ62I/AAAAAAAAAMQ/AKyAMNEitns/s1600/Braid+Ribbon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PPlx-vDUnDQ/UlK0gNiJ62I/AAAAAAAAAMQ/AKyAMNEitns/s320/Braid+Ribbon.jpg" width="253" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To keep my hair neat and tidy all day, I use L'oreal salt spray:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OU2KmJ5yowo/UlK1A3UNsZI/AAAAAAAAAMY/H1b44njQ_uE/s1600/Braid+Spray.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OU2KmJ5yowo/UlK1A3UNsZI/AAAAAAAAAMY/H1b44njQ_uE/s320/Braid+Spray.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've gone through quite a few bottles of this stuff; it's a really great product. Not only does it work as a sort-of hairspray by keeping my plait intact all day, it also gives my already wavy hair (or 'Hagrid Hair', as I like to call it) a great boost of volume and texture when I decide to leave it natural (which is usually when I wake up late for school and have 10 minutes to get ready). I simply just spray it onto my hair after having a shower, while it's damp, and then plait it. I do this before I go to bed sometimes and then take the plait out in the morning, give it another quick spray and I'm good to go. I seriously recommend this product, especially if you have wavy hair.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's all for today. I hope you liked these little tutorials; I think I'll do them more often.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
October is finally here! You know what that means, don't you?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Yes! It means it officially feels like Autumn, leaves are turning to orange, it has many rainy days that give me an excuse to stay my pyjamas and drink tea, Halloween is on the way and I'm going to see Arctic Monkeys! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I can't believe I've only been at school for a month; I can't even remember the summer now, it seems such a long time ago. Although, as much as I do love summer, I am inviting the Autumn in with open arms as all the great things happen in Autumn! (Have I over-used the exclamation mark now?... Yeah I think I have.)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I was planning on doing a September favourites post but as September is in the middle of a season-change and I tend to buy things based on the season, I didn't have many things to rave about. I will, however, be doing one for October that shall include many autumny things: Halloween goodies, cosy knitwear and lovely, tasty, hot beverages! Ooo it's all so exciting isn't it? </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The other day, the 'C' word was officially used for the first time this year in our household as we started discussing our Christmas plans for this year. I have to admit, it gave me a few festive goosebumps. If you've read some of my previous posts, you will know that I am absolutely obsessed with anything and everything festive so I just can't wait to get stuck in to the festivities! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Another thing that 'accidentally' happened the other day was that I picked up this book...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-j6fXhx10y0U/Uk3GPcU6y9I/AAAAAAAAALE/LVrtjrTlU3A/s640/blogger-image--1506936209.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-j6fXhx10y0U/Uk3GPcU6y9I/AAAAAAAAALE/LVrtjrTlU3A/s640/blogger-image--1506936209.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I only put The Deathly Hallows down a few months ago but I couldn't help myself. I have quite a few books that I still need to read but I feel like the Harry Potter books are appropriate for the build up to Christmas. (Any excuse Kate, honestly!)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So, anyway, I hope you had a fabulous September and have an even better October; I will see you soon.</div>
<div>

Some of which are bigger than others; one of my bigger obsessions, if you haven't guessed already by the title of this post, is my cat obsession. Today, I've decided to use some of the many many pictures I take of my two favourite cats; I think it's about time I mention them on my blog, I imagine they will appear on here quite frequently. Plus, I've managed to get some really great pictures of them in the past so I thought I'd show them to you. I adore most animals but cats just win at everything ever. They make the best noises, have the cutest ears, the most beautiful eyes, they always land on their feet, their toes look like beans... I think I've made my point, yes?<br />
<br />
I'm pretty sure that cats are one of the main reasons why one of my best friends, <a href="http://www.shayhirst.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Shay</a>, and I get along so well.<br />
<br />
I have a cat named Leo. He's getting quite old now, I think he's 7/8 years old (in human years) and I'm definitely his favourite human. This is probably because, like me, he loves food, being warm, cuddles (but only occasionally) and my bed...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-X4hjVSFmwZ4/UkhwgN2h4zI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/LB04H0HATi8/s1600/Leo1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-X4hjVSFmwZ4/UkhwgN2h4zI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/LB04H0HATi8/s320/Leo1.jpg" width="273" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CZSkElBOif8/UkhxNTx71LI/AAAAAAAAAKA/EqaQZ1OQ53k/s1600/Leo2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CZSkElBOif8/UkhxNTx71LI/AAAAAAAAAKA/EqaQZ1OQ53k/s320/Leo2.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We were meant for each other. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The other day, whilst my Mum decided to torment a sunbathing, peaceful-looking Leo in the garden with a twig, I took a few (well... maybe more than a few) pictures of him. Out of the huge number of photos that I'd taken, I managed to capture him looking like a crazed ninja...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2LIovnhaVeQ/Ukh0_Tp1F1I/AAAAAAAAAKM/4TVN3kPGwz4/s1600/Leo3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2LIovnhaVeQ/Ukh0_Tp1F1I/AAAAAAAAAKM/4TVN3kPGwz4/s320/Leo3.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am so utterly amazed and proud of this picture, I didn't think he was capable of doing such a pose!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One thing Leo doesn't enjoy is when I come home from my Grandma's house where OJ (pronounced 'odge', like 'dodge') lives. He pads over to me as soon as I come home and sniffs around my legs for a while before turning his nose up at me and walking away. These are the nights where I get a bed to myself... But he soon forgives me for my betrayal the next day when I feed him.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
OJ is my second favourite feline. He isn't quite as characteristic as Leo but he's still cute and very chubby (chubby cats are great). The thing I love the most about him is that he lets me take some really great photos of him:</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
He absolutely loves any kind of attention. These pictures make me chuckle; this cat is more photogenic than I am! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, that's it for today. This is a pretty rubbish post but I do have a lot of fun ones planned, they're just taking a while to put together; you'll see soon enough! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Side Note-</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I haven't posted many beauty/fashion posts yet (well, I've only posted one so far actually!) and for this, I apologise. I do have beauty/fashion posts planned but there's so many fun and festive events coming up that have given me some really good ideas for my blog. I'm also holding back slightly with beauty/fashion posts because I just don't think they will look very good at the moment; I think that pictures are a big part of these particular types of blog posts and, as I've rambled on about in a previous post (<a href="http://katebuist.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/let-me-begin-this-post-by-apologising.html" target="_blank">this one</a>), I'm saving for a DSLR camera so I'm relying on my iPhone for pictures. I will do beauty/fashion-based posts whilst I'm still saving but they won't be as frequent. This doesn't mean, however, that I won't be blogging in general very frequently: as I've already mentioned, I have some non-beauty posts planned for the upcoming months that I am very excited about.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hmm, that wasn't meant to be a ramble.I was going to call it a <i>'little'</i> side note but it was a few sentences too long to be deemed 'little'. Funny how a few sentences can soon turn into a paragraph... Whoops. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pZ59ap9_hPs/UkFyCpwB0UI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/BmwoFZ-Fzfc/s1600/Kick+Ass+poster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pZ59ap9_hPs/UkFyCpwB0UI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/BmwoFZ-Fzfc/s320/Kick+Ass+poster.jpg" width="221" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The other week, I finally sat myself down with a lovely cup of tea (that I gulped down within the first ten minutes) and watched Kick Ass 2. Since I enjoyed the first one so much, I just had to write a blog post reviewing the sequel. If you haven't seen the first one and you're planning on doing so, I advise you don't read this; there may be some major spoilers. I'll try not to give too much away about KA2 though, incase you haven't managed to watch it yet.<br />
<br />
Overall, I really enjoyed it. The mix of action and comedy throughout the film blend very well together, creating a really great comedy-action movie. The graphics were as good as the first one, if not better, and the stunts looked incredible.<br />
<br />
The plot of the sequel itself didn't go quite the way I expected (and wanted) it to go. I'm not saying the plot was bad, I still enjoyed it, it's just that I'm very fussy when it comes to film endings and I was just slightly disappointed with it. Whilst watching it, I had a scenario in my head of how it was going to end but I was wrong. At some point, as you've probably heard already, Union J feature in the film and, quite frankly, I just don't get it. It literally has nothing to do with any of the plot. They just appear for a few minutes and then that's it. They're never mentioned again after that. Fair enough, if you're a fan of Union J, you might like it but they're not my favourite.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PYAyFcbZNfE/UkFyq5iWOBI/AAAAAAAAAIY/yXpaaOr-5BQ/s1600/Kick+Ass.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PYAyFcbZNfE/UkFyq5iWOBI/AAAAAAAAAIY/yXpaaOr-5BQ/s320/Kick+Ass.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Aaron Johnson doesn't fail to impress with his attractive, moustache-ridden, ways in this sequel. He literally doesn't look any different i<span style="background-color: white;">n this movie than he did in the first Kick Ass (but I'm not complaining). That curly hair and those beautiful eyes, what's not to love?</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IdQzSilQCVw/UkFy31jI05I/AAAAAAAAAIg/hfwMF9zcEPU/s1600/Hit+Girl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IdQzSilQCVw/UkFy31jI05I/AAAAAAAAAIg/hfwMF9zcEPU/s320/Hit+Girl.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"> </span><span style="color: #222222; line-height: 14.545454025268555px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Chloë Moretz, on the other hand, looks so much older. She really has been blessed by the puberty fairy during the two-year gap between the first and second Kick Ass- lucky girl. I really love the way<span style="font-family: inherit;"> </span></span></span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="color: #222222; line-height: 14.545454025268555px;">Chloë</span><span style="color: #222222; line-height: 14.545454025268555px;"> plays Mindy/Hit Girl, I couldn't imagine anyone else playing her.</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; line-height: 14.545454025268555px;"><br /></span></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e2PRnitRfm4/UkFzFAsQiaI/AAAAAAAAAIo/NcNZqv6PB1c/s1600/Kick+Ass+2+Poster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e2PRnitRfm4/UkFzFAsQiaI/AAAAAAAAAIo/NcNZqv6PB1c/s320/Kick+Ass+2+Poster.jpg" width="206" /></a></div>
<span style="color: #222222;"><span style="line-height: 14.53125px;">Jim Carrey also stars in Kick Ass 2. I didn't even realise it was him at first which is surprising; he has such a distinctive voice. As he does in every movie he's ever been in, he played his character perfectly. Yet another amazing casting choice made there. It's quite a strange casting choice aswell, I don't think this is the typical type of movie that Mr. Carrey usually stars in yet he fits in so well.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #222222;"><span style="line-height: 14.53125px;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #222222;"><span style="line-height: 14.53125px;">I felt so many different emotions throughout this film, one scene could make you laugh and then the next scene might have you on the brink of tears (or full-on sobbing...). Considering this, the movie is, overall, so </span></span><span style="color: #222222;"><span style="line-height: 14.53125px;">hilarious and quotable. Comedic, quotable movies are the best kind (unless you consider Mean Girls to come under this category; other than a few famous lines,</span></span><span style="color: #222222; line-height: 14.53125px;"> that film is a pile of utter garbage, sorry, not sorry).</span><br />
<span style="color: #222222; line-height: 14.53125px;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #222222;"><span style="line-height: 14.53125px;">Think I'm done reviewing/rambling now...</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #222222;"><span style="line-height: 14.53125px;"><br /></span></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #222222;"><span style="line-height: 14.53125px;">Ciao for now</span></span></div>

Just a very quick post to say...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aufG_j5IOrc/UkF2JXmoCYI/AAAAAAAAAI0/ArlQk_znfsY/s1600/Happy+Autumn+post.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="187" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aufG_j5IOrc/UkF2JXmoCYI/AAAAAAAAAI0/ArlQk_znfsY/s400/Happy+Autumn+post.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
Well summer has sadly come to an end... But you know what that means, don't you?...<br />
<br />
IT'S OFFICIALLY AUTUMN!<br />
<br />
Yes, it's finally that time of year where I smother myself in knitwear, buy the whole of H&M (..wait, I do this anyway!), drink tea until I drown, stay in bed all day watching movies (yet another thing I do regardless of the season) and make a fool of myself by stomping on every crunchy leaf I come in contact with.<br />
<br />
Me and my friend Annabel (who's blog I absolutely adore- you can have a nosy at it <a href="http://www.bellemarie2398.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">here</a>) got really excited today when we saw a tree's leaves turning from green to orange for the first time this year. We were way too excited to the point where we were holding hands, jumping up and down and squealing with excitement. A few odd looks were exchanged around us.<br />
<br />
Be prepared for lots of seasonal and festive themed blog posts in the next few months, I love getting festive. Excited is my favourite mood to be in, if you haven't guessed already by the amount of times I used the word.<br />
<br />
This is just a little update post for now; I do have a real one planned for this week but this is all from me today.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ciao for now</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
xx</div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Let me begin this post by apologising for the awful quality
of the photos. </span>I'm<span style="font-family: inherit;"> currently saving for a DSLR camera for this blog and for
taking pictures in general, the quality of the camera on my iPhone just isn't
satisfying but it will have to do. I will probably have enough money to buy one
around December/January which is a very long way away but DSLRs are not cheap. I’ll try my best with my phone camera for the
time being which I do really apologise for. There are worse phone cameras I
suppose but the iPhone camera is still not very good quality. I could just get
all of my photos from the internet until I have a good enough camera but I don’t
want to. Taking pictures of my own purchased products, for me, is like evidence
to prove that I do own it and to show I'm not just copy and pasting someone
else’s review and getting a picture from Google, it’s easily done. I've tried
my best to work with what I have so please bear with me. Sorry for rambling, let’s
get onto the actual blog post now…<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HI49U8UuEaY/UjsxOvdeWYI/AAAAAAAAAGk/W9f4V2A0nDE/s1600/Skincare.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="296" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HI49U8UuEaY/UjsxOvdeWYI/AAAAAAAAAGk/W9f4V2A0nDE/s320/Skincare.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Skincare is very important for me as I have awful skin. I
used to never take much interest in my skincare routine, I just couldn't be bothered, until I realised that
my skin is really important and needs to be properly looked after. I have
really oily skin and quite a lot of blackheads but the products I use do help
this, luckily.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><u> Clean&Clear Exfoliating Wash</u></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a1jKvks-BHg/Ujsz6ct1ebI/AAAAAAAAAGw/bJCg1dhvTUc/s1600/Clean+and+clear+wash.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a1jKvks-BHg/Ujsz6ct1ebI/AAAAAAAAAGw/bJCg1dhvTUc/s320/Clean+and+clear+wash.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Gosh this stuff is good. Like I've already mentioned, I have very oily skin meaning I have to look out for oil-free face washes so this is ideal for my skin type. I'm on my second or third bottle (could you class this as a bottle? I'm not sure...); it's just so great at keeping my spots at bay. I love this face wash because it's so gentle on the skin; the micro-beads used in it to exfoliate the skin don't make you feel as though you're scrubbing your face with gravel like some exfoliators do. I use this twice a day (when I wake up and before I go to sleep) and I very rarely get extremely noticeable spots with it. Obviously, I get the occasional huge spot but I think every teenager does.The only disadvantage I can think of with this is that the scent of it isn't the most appealing. It doesn't smell bad, it just smells very slightly like men's aftershave but I'm willing to look past this.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><u><br /></u></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><u>Clean&Clear Dual Action Moisturiser</u></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SLWe4pN7Gs8/Ujs5BK5ayiI/AAAAAAAAAHA/s_MwMGNQgf8/s1600/clean+and+clear+moisturiser.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SLWe4pN7Gs8/Ujs5BK5ayiI/AAAAAAAAAHA/s_MwMGNQgf8/s320/clean+and+clear+moisturiser.jpg" width="223" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Another Clean&Clear product that doesn't fail to impress. Since I started using this, I can really feel the difference. It's such a great face moisturiser, it leaves my skin super-soft. I'm not too sure if it is the product to blame for keeping my spots away but it's good to know that it's helping to prevent them. This is also oil-free; I can't use moisturisers on my face that aren't oil-free because I would just break out all over my face (it has happened before). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>T-Zone Nose Pore Strips</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H2T1L02hnXs/Ujs7q3Wb8ZI/AAAAAAAAAHM/K5DzjExRpxk/s1600/T-Zone+Strips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H2T1L02hnXs/Ujs7q3Wb8ZI/AAAAAAAAAHM/K5DzjExRpxk/s320/T-Zone+Strips.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Without these little beauties, my nose would just be one huge blackhead. I may hardly get spots but, to make up for my lack of spots, I have so many blackheads. I use these strips once or twice a month and the impact it's made on my nose is unbelievable. I'm really starting to see my blackheads clearing off and my pores mimimizing. Six strips doesn't seem like a lot but when you only use them once or twice a month they really do last. Plus, they're dirt cheap from Superdrug!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>St. Ives Apricot Scrub</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-R7D3FFtkpPc/UjtH8encxeI/AAAAAAAAAHc/4I203oxCUp8/s1600/St.+Ives.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-R7D3FFtkpPc/UjtH8encxeI/AAAAAAAAAHc/4I203oxCUp8/s320/St.+Ives.jpg" width="309" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I know I already use a face wash but I like to use this St Ives one (oil-free like my other face wash) twice a week to deeply cleanse my pores and clear away dead skin cells (ew gross). This is a very heavy-duty scrub and I don't think it would work as well if I used it every day. I do really enjoy using this though. It leaves my skin feeling so fresh and revived plus it smells amazing. It has a really fresh, fruity scent, I love it.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Nivea Hand Moisturiser</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Q_1HxDIHIfA/UjtO4nic5pI/AAAAAAAAAHs/owpJFKJPq2g/s1600/Nivea+Cream.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Q_1HxDIHIfA/UjtO4nic5pI/AAAAAAAAAHs/owpJFKJPq2g/s320/Nivea+Cream.jpg" width="238" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Even though the rest of these products are face products, I just had to put this in. You can use this moisturiser for your body and face but I prefer to just use it for my hands, that's why I use the 75ml bottle. I've never been one to have soft hands but this moisturiser definitely helps. I use it every morning and I love it. Although, I wouldn't recommend this for your face, I used it on my face and it made me quite fiercely and abruptly break out in spots. This is when I realised that I need to use an oil-free moisturiser; if there's one thing my skin isn't short of, it's oil.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So these are the skincare products that I use on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. I hope you liked it. I apologise once again for the bad photo quality, they will get better once I get this camera, definitely. That's all for today.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ciao for now</div>
